For this project I'm managing the IT implementation on the Amgen side. Enriching the Enterprise Data Warehouse to use this as a source to feed an SaaS vendor with the required information to feed the audit process. Once the checks are complete the data will be returned to Amgen to feed it into the Enterprise Data Warehouse for Analysis.

Project Manager

As a project manager I was responsible to craft the project proposal, secure the required funds and resources for the project. Craft the project plan with all project members and track execution during the life cycle of the project. The project was a major upgrade effort as there was no direct upgrade possible due to new hardware that was purchased. The project therefore required a migration of all user objects from Business objects 3.1 to 4.0. This required a lot of careful planing with the team as we were working on ensuring that there was a minimal impact to the business. The end result was a perfectly functioning system after one major performance issue, which caused a delay in the planned go live, but which did not cause an overrun in the budget. Apart from a delayed go live the majority of the user based switched to the new platform with minimal issues. In hindsight the only missed opportunity was a training plan for the new features that the platform offers and the changes that were most noticeable to end users. With smart planning, creative use of resource billing and great resources on the project we delivered the project well below the requested budget.

Business Objects Upgrade

September 2011

During this 3 month project we delivered the implementation of a new service pack to stabilize the reporting environment used for Amgen international. This project was very important to the Amgen staff using the platform and had attention up and until VP level. The project was executed in the planned time and within budget.


January 2011

This project delivered a new architecture for a Dashboard solution used by Senior Management @Amgen international. It contains internal and external sales data in an Xcelsius solution. The major archievements are easier access to all reports, expanded growth potential for the number of Products and Affiliates that can be selected. Improved reporting performance.
