Research Partner and Trainer of Health Coaching Program

Since 2009 I have contributed to the pioneering work of assistant professor, Ayse Basak Cinar at the School of Dentistry at Faculty for Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen. The research project is about, how health coaching support patients with a chronic disease (Diabetes) in regard to training health professionals to adopt a coaching behavior and intervention style along side their clinical craftsmanship. In 2012 we introduced the first coaching program in the world for pre-graduate students on the 8th semester. A 5 day foundation course (40 hours), and continue this due to a very successful launch and student reception. The main focus is for students to become practitioners of Health Coaching. Our training program is titled: Coaching Based Patient Focus and Communication. It support health promotion, preventional patient interventions and bringing patients an increased quality of life. The program is designed to be adaptable to most health professional professions, with a high level of quality, adaptability, standards and ethics. It reflects the standards of the ICF and EMCC as international guidelines for accreditation and quality assurance.
