Proactive, multi-skilled and personable leader with seven years of cross-functional experience in agile projects as project manager, product owner, business analyst, user researcher, UX designer and agile coach.
Coupled with a very technical background, this variety of experience gives me a broadly informed view of the complete system development life cycle that is of immense benefit to the projects that I work on.
I use Scrum, Kanban and Lean Software Development methods, coupled with, if need be, UML.

Hedtek Ltd

2007 July - 2015 May

Hedtek is software house that designs and develops bespoke webapps. We also provide technical and strategic consultancy services, and occasionally contract our staff to other organisations. We thrive on difficult problems, and propose and implement innovative solutions that realize client aims within tight budgets. We work in the full-stack Ruby on Rails ecosystem, including Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, Coffescript, front end frameworks, SQL and No SQL databases, triple stores and search engines. While I moved away from Hedtek in 2015, at Hedtek I performed the following kinds of work: Directing the company and being involved with all parts of product development and delivery over the entire SDLC. For example, I work with clients, stakeholders and users, am a technical product manager, a product owner and work on UX and UI design. I also perform outside consultancy. Recent examples have been formulating technical strategy for organisations that offer multiple services in complex environments, and developing road maps to support strategies. As a sideline, I have a strong interest in research: I've produced significant reports on data analystics, UX for libraries, and technology to support learning across the UK.
