Currently Biplab heads the Agile Practice at Altimetrik. He has previously worked in various functions at Oracle, HCL Technology and IBM. He started his career as a Software development engineer and over the years performed various management and consulting roles in various organizations..
Biplab has an extensive experience in organizational Agility assessment, adoption, transformation, coaching and mentoring. He is passionate about transforming the whole organization into Agile rather than just adopting agile as a practice for product or service development. He works towards taking the organization to be Agile than just doing Agile. In his recent transformation endeavor he is assisting the organization to transform the culture and other non-software functions like HR, finance and marketing etc.

At Altimetrik I am heading the Agile Practice. Primary focus is to conceptualize and coach the Organization in it's transformation Journey of our highest priority strategic initiative - Re-Imagine. Re-imagine is an Enterprise Level Transformation of Agile ++. Responsibilities includes (but not limited to): • Design the transformation initiative and build the Experience Journey map • Define a new Software Development Methodology (Agile based) aligned with our strategic direction • Overall governance and program management of Re-imagine initiative (Unified Skill, Unified Culture, New Methodology – Assembly based development) • Establish Design Thinking approach in all functions of the Organization • Establish Agile based contracting model & service agreement • Enabling and facilitating the organization to establish agile++ culture • Agile and Design Thinking workshop for Executives and Customers • Facilitating the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers • Conduction various Agile workshops to create Agile awareness (Train The Trainer) • Facilitate the team to measure their Agility and take feedback from the assessment & improve continuously • Establish measurement framework (how project is doing Agile and how Agile is doing for the project) • Coach and mentor the team at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization during this transition (from traditional to Agile) • Work with PO and SM during the initial days to ensure these roles are performed to the best possible manner • Establish a custom (organization specific) Agility assessment framework for the Organization • Hand hold the team during the initial sprints • Providing servant leadership to the organization and team
During my tenure with HCL, was responsible for managing various development and consulting project with Agile approach (scrum framework) from requirement gathering, development, QA and production implementation. Performed Scrum Master role in these development and consulting projects. Primary focus was to deliver business value as fast as possible, inspect & adapt and embrace the changes as seamless as possible.

Here in Oracle my primary responsibilities are: Transformed the Organization into Agile development methodologies. Coach/Mentor Management and various product teams of Oracle Health Science Global Business Unit (HSGBU). Establish CoE and CoP driven sustenance model for Agile implementation. Establish control mechanism and customize assessment framework to measure the Agile maturity of the Organization & team. Also to establish & implement a customized Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD) framework for HSGBU. Designing a comprehensive software estimation process with industry recognized estimation tool SEER – SEM for Oracle Health Science business unit. Implementation of estimation process and tool to all products of HSGBU. Establishing the model & tool calibration process and maturity assessment framework. Establishment of estimation CoE to support the Org and continuous improvement. Perform Organizational diagnosis and implementation of Gamification to improve the efficiency and effectiveness in some areas Design and implementation of various other strategic initiatives (metrics – balance score card)
