We decided to write this book to illustrate how Agile Practices, and more importantly Agile thinking, can be combined with those from Outcomes, Portfolio, Programme and Project Management to successfully and consistently deliver Value into Business Operations. The title of this book, Agile Value Delivery: Beyond the Numbers, recognizes that linear extrapolations from past successes—which may have been a successful formula in recent times—is no longer a practical guide for managers or workers in a post digital world. Simply stated, the digital revolution has thrust us suddenly and rapidly into in a new world with new rules. This book is a practical behavioral guide to those who want to master these new rules. North American Mentor for PRINCE2 Agile

Ottawa , CANADA

I had the distinct privilege of being the North American Mentor for PRINCE2 Agile which is to be released on June 12, 2015! The key benefits of PRINCE2 Agile: 1. Allows project teams and Project Managers to focus on both management and delivery 2. Will work with existing Agile practices PRINCE2 Agile will be available to qualified PRINCE2 Practitioners. The majority of PRINCE2 Agile guidance is new material that examines how PRINCE2 and Agile methods can both interact and be adapted to accommodate each other in order to benefit projects teams and their organizations. Be on the look out for a White Paper we are doing for AXELOS as a follow up to PRINCE2 Agile called "Next Generation Agile: Are you ready?" which will discuss the implications of adopting Agile practices on M_o_V, M_o_R, MSP, P3P, ITIL, etc.

BSSNexus helps organizations turn strategy into execution. While business problems are becoming increasingly complex for organizations of all sizes, the solutions to those problems should not be. BSSNexus solves complex problems by removing the complexity from the solution through products that are defined by their sophisticated simplicity. Providing complex unmanageable solutions is easy. Ensuring that the solutions you build to solve these complex problems in simple and understandable ways takes hard work. The company name, Business Services Sextant Nexus (BSSNexus) incorporates the word “Nexus” which is defined as a connection, connected group or center and the word “Sextant”. A “Sextant” is an instrument used to measure the angle between any two objects. The company name underlines a theme of navigating between connected groups of objects (i.e. Goals, Outcomes, Services, and Processes.) Many organizations, consulting firms, and bodies of knowledge alike focus solely on each area as an independent unconnected part. Organizations define goals, but don’t realize the path to achieving them. Consulting firms provide services supporting service or process management, but don’t effectively align outcomes. Bodies of knowledge focus on specific knowledge areas and methods to support processes, but don’t align services. What’s a common theme among these approaches? They are disparate views of the world that don’t realize the interconnected nature of each supporting area. The BSSNexus approach takes a holistic view and then defines a path to help organizations achieve what they set out to do - everytime.
