My name is Abayomi Bankole, though everyone calls me Yomi. I possess a unique combination of technical knowledge, business and project management skills, gained from 10 years experience spanning across information technology, construction and logistics sectors.
I have remained focused on delivering web and software products for the last 5 years, using diverse agile methodologies including Scrum framework, Scaled Agile Framework, kanban, Disciplined Agile Delivery, DSDM, Extreme programming and well grounded soft skills to successfully deliver very complex projects.
Experienced in communicating effectively with all stakeholders, understanding what project success means to customers, creating a conducive and productive environment for development teams, leading, motivating and coaching project teams to achieve project objectives.
Managed a portolio of logistics and petroleum pipeline projects for several oil producing companies including Shell, ExxonMobil, Oando and NNPC. I also pitched for and won several haulage contracts with both private and public enterprises. Maintained effective communication with all stakeholders, managed their expectations and always delivering their products on time and within agreed budget.
Managed and owned First Tradelinks Advanced Procure-to-Pay system product portfolio. Created the product roadmap and eCommerce business model, collaborated with both internal and external stakeholders, identified appropriate software solutions and managed cross-functional teams both on-site and offshore. Ensuring that the product backlog is organised by clustering features that will have value in the market in order to reduce time to market, gather consumer reaction and improve cash flow, alongside making informed return on investment decisions based on information about technical and business complexity.
